Cessna offer Alpine Edition Citation CJ2+ business jet

Cessna  has announced an upgrade program for the company’s successful Citation CJ2+ business jet. The new Alpine Edition CJ2+ modification package from Cessna includes the installation of a Garmin G3000 avionics suite, making the jet compliant with Next Generation (NextGen) requirements. In addition to the avionics upgrade, the Alpine Edition CJ2+ features new pressurisation and environmental systems, the latest diagnostics systems, and a redesigned cockpit.

Cessna Citation Latitude prototype flies closer to certification

It’s been a good week for Cessna as they continue the development of their latest business jet.

Cessna is celebrating another testing milestone with the Citation Latitude. In only the aircraft’s third flight, the Latitude prototype has successfully achieved full envelope performance for maximum speed (440 KTAS, 506 mph), Mach speed (0.80) and altitude (45,000 ft). The aircraft was cleared for a direct climb to 45,000 ft with a gross takeoff weight of 29,000 pounds.

First new Citation X business jet makes debut

Cessna has rolled out its first production unit of the new Citation X business jet at the company’s Wichita manufacturing plant. The new aircraft was first announced at NBAA in 2010.

The new Citation X jet is best known for its top speed of Mach 0.935, making it the fastest civilian aircraft in the world.
